Psoriasis
In a normally functioning immune system, white blood cells produce antibodies to foreign invaders such as bacteria and viruses. These white blood cells also produce chemicals that aid in healing and fighting infective agents. In psoriasis, however, some white blood cells cause the body to fight normal tissue in the skin and, sometimes, joints. These white blood cells also produce an abnormally large amount of "healing" chemicals that actually cause more inflammation in skin and joints.
Genetic Causes of Psoriasis
Researchers have now found 4 key genes that are involved with psoriasis. These genes regulate the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system. The HLA molecules are designed to present foreign substances to immune system so they can be destroyed, but this process is malfunctioning in Psoriasis.
Weather Triggers Psoriasis : Weather is a strong factor in psoriasis. Cold and dry weather commonly starts a psoriasis flare-up, and hot, damp and sunny weather makes psoriasis symptoms better.
Stress Triggers of Psoriasis : Stress, unexpressed anger and emotional disorders like depression and anxiety are strongly associated with psoriasis flare-ups. In one study, nearly 40% of patients remembered a stressful event that occurred within a month of a psoriasis flare. Another study showed that stress triggered certain immune factors associated with psoriasis.
Infection Triggers Psoriasis : Infections caused by bacteria or viruses cause a psoriasis flare. The bacteria Streptococcus which causes tonsillitis, sinusitis and "strep throat" are a well known trigger of a type of psoriasis called guttate Psoriasis. The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is also associated with Psoriasis.
Skin Injury Triggers Psoriasis :
Sometimes even mild injuries to the skin like abrasions trigger a psoriasis flare. This is called the koebner phenomenon, and the reason that psoriasis tends to affect frequently the elbows and knees.
Drug Triggers Psoriasis : Following drugs are known to either worsen psoriasis or induce a flare-up:
- Chloroquine
- ACE inhibitors monopril or captopril
- Beta blockers lopressor or atenolol
- Progesterone
- Lithium
- Indocin
How Noni help in Psoriasis
Role of oxidants and antioxidants in psoriasis.
NONI works as antioxidants : Our bodies are bombarded daily by damaging effects of free radicals created through normal metabolic functions. In fact, scientists report that DNA of each of our cells is attacked by free radicals over 10,000 times / day. Add to this with the polluted environment of today's world, scope of the problem increases.
Uninterrupted free radicals wreak havoc with DNA, enzymes and cells. They make it impossible for cells to function properly. Many chronic degenerative diseases are raising their head inside human body due to free radical damage to cells and DNA of cells.
Antioxidants fight free radicals in three ways
- They prevent a free radical from forming.
- They interrupt an oxidizing chain reaction to lessen effects of free radicals.
- Antioxidants reduce free radical's impact.
Fortunately antioxidants like Noni have proven as an effective weapon against them.
Noni as a powerful and perfect antioxidant neutralizes effects of free radicals, allowing the body to restore itself to proper balance leading to health and well-being. Noni contains many different synergistic antioxidant nutrients, including the basic vitamins A,C and E. Drinking Noni every day helps combat damaging effects of free radicals. Free radicals attack all our vital cellular structures, like cell membranes and stimulate processes that have been linked to accelerate cellular aging. An antioxidant's job is to neutralize free radical damage and thus protects from all those chronic degenerative diseases like cancer, diabetes, arthritis, various skin disorders, psoriasis, leucoderma and many more.
According to the Research article from the Department of Dermatology, University of Suleyman Demirel Faculty of Medicine, Isparta, Turkey, psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by well-demarcated erythema and scaly plaques. The pathogenesis of psoriasis still remains unclear. An increased reactive oxygen species (ROS) and insufficient antioxidant activity are determined in psoriatic lesions.
Noni, the powerful antioxidant contained the right combination of all antioxidants, rich in vitamins A, C, E, B, B2, B6, B12, Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Folic Acid, Pantothenic Acid, Phosphours, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper and other minerals like Chromium, Manganeses, Molybdenum, Sodium, Carbohydrates and 150 + isolated nutraceuticals. All those have made Noni a powerful antioxidant. It helps a lot to relieve the symptoms of psoriasis for its high anti oxidant property.
Noni the Cell-Rejuvenator
Health of cells is essential for a body to be healthy. NONI, being the best nutritional supplement works at this root-level to make these fundamental units healthy, and thereby make us live healthier.
Dr. Ralph Heinicke, a noted American biochemist, had a potentially ground-breaking revelation while studying pineapple enzymes. He realized that a certain alkaloid called Xeronine plays a key role in encouraging proper cell function and growth in human body. Proxeronine is absorbed to blood from intestine and then moved to cell where a chemical reaction occurs between Proxeronine and Proxeronase. Dr. Heinicke realized that these two substances exist in abundance in the Noni fruit.
Noni is an Immune Booster
The abnormal function of immune system is one of the causes of psoriasis. Noni acts like a powerful immune enhancer and booster. It helps to keep your immune system well balanced that effects to cure psoriasis lesion.
NONI a safe way to increase Serotonin
The cause of depression varies greatly from one person to the next, most people with depression have something in common: low levels of neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin, also called 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), is the brain's `happy chemical.' Serotonin is often referred as the body's natural mood altering drug and changes in serotonin levels can quickly alter mood. If serotonin levels drop to low levels, depression is almost sure to follow. It is manufactured in human body using the amino acid tryptophan. When tryptophan is readily available, the body uses it, if needed to increase serotonin levels. Manufactured by the body, it is found along with its receptor sites in the brain, blood platelets and lining of the digestive tract. It is also a precursor to a hormone called melatonin, which plays multiple life giving roles in the body, including regulating biological rhythms. The pineal body present in human brain plays an important role in secretion of serotonin and melatonin.
Noni juice is a normal and safe way to increase effects of this feel good hormone. Whole foods such as NONI juice that elevates serotonin levels naturally, have no side effects. Using precise proportions and relationships to one another, nature combines vitamins, minerals and other phytochemicals, co-factors that make up human food, to enhance benefits of each individual component. In its innate wisdom, the body decides what it needs from nutrients and eliminates anything it does not need.
From this entire angle, Noni helps in psoriasis. Noni is not a medicine for any specific disease. It is a natural powerful complete nutritional supplement for human body. It helps to provide our body all the micronutrients that we do not get usually in our daily diet and also maintain our immunity level well balanced to fight for the disease. It also helps to reduce our free radical load inside our body by its high power antioxidant property.
