Anaemia
Anaemia occurs when blood does not have enough haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from lungs to the rest of our body. A common cause of anaemia is not having enough iron. (Our body needs iron to make haemoglobin.)
Anaemia can be caused by many things, but the three main bodily mechanisms that produce it are : Excessive destruction of RBC (Red Blood Corpuscles), Blood Loss and Inadequate production of RBC.
